Licensing
License Term
The defined start and end dates during which a brand may use the licensed content.
What it means in practice
The term may begin on signing, first publication, asset delivery, or another event specified in the contract. The agreement can also state whether existing posts must be removed, archived, or left accessible after expiration.
Why it matters
Missing the end date can result in content remaining live after the brand's permission expires.
How it is used
A rights tracker alerts the marketing team to remove or renew assets before their license terms end.
